Chairman, European Technology & Innovation Platform PhotoVoltaic, University of Ljubljana

Marko Topič currently serves as the Slovenian representative at the European Scientific Advice Forum, and as President of the Scientific Council of the Slovenian Research Agency. He is a Fellow of the Slovenian Academy of Engineering, Professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, Head of the Laboratory of Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics, and an Affiliate Professor at Colorado State University. Professor Topič is also Chairman of the European Technology & Innovation Platform Photovoltaics. In the 7th Framework Programme (2008-2012) he served as a member of the Advisory Group on Energy. He received a D.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1996.
