About Organizers

The SLOVAK CENTRE OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION (CVTI SR) is the national information centre for science, technology, innovation and education and a specialized scientific library of the Slovak Republic. CVTI SR is the directly-managed organisation (public body) of the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic (ministry). CVTI SR is a host organisation of Slovak NCPs for HORIZON2020 and is responsible for the operation and development of the Slovak Liaison Office for Research and Development in Brussels (SLORD). CVTI SR is responsible for building, administration and development of the ministry's information systems for education and national science related systems like the Slovak Current Research Information System, Central Information Portal for Research, Development and Innovation, the Central Registry of Publication Activity and the Central Registry of Theses and Dissertations, including the Anti-plagiarism system. The mission of the CVTI SR is to foster the development and promotion of Slovak science (National centre for popularisation of science and technology), with focus on intellectual property protection and commercial utilization of research results (nation-wide technology transfer centre). The Institution is continuously involved in the implementation of a number of national and transnational projects supporting research, development, innovation and education, with a particular focus on IPR issues. The SLOVAK FOREIGN POLICY ASSOCIATION (SFPA) is a foreign policy think-tank based in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 1993, its mission has been to conduct high-quality, independent research and, based on that research, to make innovative practical recommendations for policy- and decision-makers, whilst also providing an independent arena for the discussion of critical issues. The SFPA produces periodical and non-periodical publications covering various fields of foreign policy and international relations. It also organizes international expert seminars and conferences and fosters expert discourse on international relations and Slovak foreign policy. The SFPA aims to create a favorable environment for the growth of a new generational of Slovak experts on international relations and stimulate wider public interest in Slovakia in global events and foster a deeper understanding of the importance of foreign policy and how it connects up with domestic policy.
