Executive Director, Energy Markets Development and Operation, SEPS, a.s.
Jiří Strnad holds the position of Executive Director of Energy Market and Operation Development Section at the Slovak transmission system operator SEPS. Mr Strnad was actively involved in the development of successful international market coupling projects with the Czech Republic, Hungary and Romania, as well as in the currently developing regional project CORE Flow based Market Coupling. Mr Strnad gained long-term managerial experience in the energy sector through his work for the Czech transmission system operator, where he was engaged in the public procurement process of ancillary services, strategic management of the company, and the company’s efforts regarding market integration at the European level. Mr Strnad holds a Masters degree in Business Economics and Management from the University of Economics, Prague.
