Head of Innovation & Future Technologies, Siemens Gamesa

Klaus Willnow has headed the Department of Innovation and Future Technologies of Siemens Wind Power in Hamburg since 2016. He joined Siemens in 1996, working in the nuclear field. From 1999 to 2005 he worked as a representative of Siemens Power Generation in Brussels and Berlin where he was responsible for EU Energy and Environment Policy, and later headed the Department of Enterprise Communications of Siemens Power Generation in Erlangen, and the Department of Innovation Cooperation and Regulatory Affairs of Siemens Energy Management in Erlangen. He is a member of several R&D related organisations, such as the industrial advisory board of xEnergy, at Hamburg University of Applied Science.
