Chair, European Energy Research Alliance
Nils Anders Røkke is a Norwegian scientist and business leader. He is Executive Vice President of Sustainability SINTEF, and Chairman of the European Energy Research Alliance (EERA), the public research pillar of the EU Strategic Energy Technology Plan. He was Gas Turbine Design and Development Manager at Rolls Royce Marine from 1998, before returning to SINTEF in 2002. He has coordinated several large European CCS projects in FP6 and FP7, as well as NORDICCS, a CCS research project funded by the Nordic Top Level Research Initiative. He holds an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from NTNU, and a PhD in Thermal Energy and combustion from NTNU.
